Covent Garden based candle makers ‘Wax and Wick Workshop‘ have the scent of summer captured in their current range of beautifuly scented candles. Focusing on gorgeous summer aromas, the range brings the scent of summer to your home, whether indoors or out!
Their approach to candle making makes them a little bit different to some of the other scented candle brands around. Born from ‘a love of simple design and natural living’ the Wax and Wick Workshop range originates from the totally natural art of candle making using two simple ingredients, oils and soy wax – no artificial colours and no parabens (articifical preservatives widely used in a lot of other scented candles and cosmetic products) .
When it comes to the candle jars their approach is quite unique, using repurposed wine bottles from the pubs in and around Primrose Hill!
I was kindly sent two of their candles from the current range and it’s fair to say they smell heavenly and very summery!
Each candle comes packaged in it’s own fabric drawstring bag (a nice touch!) which is perfect if you are buying them as a gift for someone.
The Grapefruit and Sage candle is a blend of fresh herbal scents and citrus notes . The creates a very invigorating and uplifting aroma … perfect for this time of year.
I don’t know about you but lighting a candle in the evening is just part of my evening routine, whether in summer or winter. If anything helps me to relax in the evening it’s the aroma of a scented candle …. and of course a chilled glass of white wine or a gin and tonic helps too!
With the scent of fresh bay leaves combined with the floral fragrance of lavender the ‘Lavender and Bay leaf’ candle creates a very comforting, soothing and relaxing aroma.
