Be a Decleor barefaced beauty.

It’s been a month since I received a gorgeous box of Decleor ‘barefaced beauty’ products and I thought it was time to give an honest verdict.

I had never used Decleor before so wasn’t sure what to expect as I’m not a skin care expert, although I had heard very good things about it. For many years I’ve used Bobbi Brown’s skin care range as it’s suited my sensitive skin and so I’ve been cautious of trying new things. Amongst the items that Decleor sent were a range of products suited to sensitive skin so I felt confident in trying them out.  Also included in the box were products aimed at hydrating your skin which is something I always look out for, as well as creams than contain sun protection.

After using the products for four weeks I can say that I’ve been very impressed. My skin does feel soft, smooth, hydrated and most importantly the products have suited my sensitive skin.

I’ve been using the Micellar Oil  both morning and night to cleanse my skin, and a little goes a long way. The description of the product says it uses a combination of oil and water to cleanse your pores whilst hydrating your skin at the same time. It definitely does leave my skin feeling soft, smooth and clean. It’s one of their ‘Hero’ lines (best sellers) which means I’m not the only one that thinks it’s worthy of five stars!

Decleor say that if you want to ‘reclaim your glow’ then one of the best products to start with is a face oil. I used to think face oils would leave my skin feeling oily and greasy but I was wrong! The Decleor Aromessence Neroli face oil is a real treat for skin. For one thing, it smells heavenly. Decleor recommend warming a few drops in your palms and inhaling the aroma before applying it to your skin. This is one of those little pleasures I look forward to every morning as it does smell gorgeous. It’s packed with essential oils and is instantly absorbed into your skin. Three drops is all you need, honestly!

I’ve also tried the Decleor Hydra Floral moisturising fluid SPF 30, which is said to protect your skin against pollution, stress and dehydration. It has a very light texture and really does leave your skin feeling hydrated and soft. It contains hyaluronic acid which is claimed to plump fine lines, which is always welcomed! The additional benefits of sun protection (SPF30) makes this a great all year round product, even more so in the summer.

I’m very focused on caring for the delicate skin around my eyes as I believe that this can have a significant effect on your overall appearance. I’ve come to accept (with age) that fine lines around the eyes are part of getting older; however if there is a product to help alleviate this then I’m all for it! Decleor’s  Aurabsolu Intense glow for eyes delivers an instant illuminating effect whilst targeting darkness and dullness around the delicate eye area. It’s one of those items that once used you can’t live without! It definitely helps to brighten and illuminate.

Caring for my skin at night is just as important as it is during the day. After removing any traces of the days makeup with the Micellar oil (mentioned above) I’ve been using Decleor’s Aromessence Rose D’orient soothing oil serum which is perfect for sensitive skin. It is said to strengthen the skin and reduce any irritation with the help of essential oils. As with the other neroli serum, this one also smells amazing and helps to soothe and calm your skin which is what you want at the end of a busy day.  I follow this with the Aromessence soothing night balm which has a different texture to any night creams or balms that I have used before. It is slightly waxy in texture and needs to be warmed in the palm of your hands before applying it which helps it to be absorbed. The product definitely calms and soothes your skin, but personally I do prefer a cream based hydrating product at night which is instantly absorbed into your skin.

I also received a Decleor Aurabsolu instant glow hydrogel face mask which I was extremely keen to try. As with all face masks you hope they will work but sometimes the benefits are not quite what you hoped for. Think again! The day after using it my skin glowed and had a radiance that I hadn’t seen in quite some time. The hydrogel mask claims to restores luminosity and fights signs of stress or fatigue and I’d have to agree with this! If there was one product I would be sure to have on hand for any special occasion or for just when you feel like giving yourself the VIP treatment then this would be it …. It’s amazing!!!!!

All in all I would highly recommend Decleor’s ‘Barefaced beauty’ regime and products …. if you have good skin it gives you confidence and with that comes good things!
