There is a definite hint of spring in the air … the mornings are lighter, the days slightly longer, the garden is starting to come to life. In terms of fashion … the need for layers upon layers is waning, we want to introduce colour into our wardrobes, and on the odd occasion we can bare our ankles without cosy socks or tights. All in all, it feels good.
When it comes to addressing the issue of colour in your spring wardrobe there is an obvious choice – yellow.
Primrose Yellow is one of THE colours for Spring and summer 2017, picked by Pantone in their top 10 Spring 2017 fashion colours.
Primrose yellow can be described as a sunny yellow, a yellow that blooms, reminding us of the flowers in early spring. Yellow has the ability to lift your mood, it brings a feeling of vitality and energy…. and isn’t that what we all need after a long winter?!
If you think yellow isn’t for you take a look at these inspirational pictures (via Pinterest) which show you how easy it is to wear. Choose the right shade to compliment your skin tone and you can also introduce yellow into your wardrobe with shoes and accessories. Yellow can be worn alongside a lot of colours but works particularly well with white, denim and black; yellow also offsets navy Breton stripes very well. I’ve found similar styles that are currently available so the looks below can be easily replicated.
Making a subtle statement …. Yellow shoes

Making a bold statement … Yellow trousers

Easy to wear …. the yellow top

A very feminine way to wear yellow …

Attention to detail … yellow accessories

Even if the sun doesn’t shine, you can still make your own!
Happy shopping xx 🌼
Fabulous post. I just wish I’d seen this yesterday, as I was shopping at Bicester Village and ummming and ahhhing about a gorgeous yellow cochinelle cross body bag. In the end I wasn’t sure and so put it back and now I wish I’d bought it, typical!! I shall just have to look out for another!!
