New year…new stripes!

Stripes … we love them and can’t get enough of them! It can sometimes be tricky trying to convince my husband that I need more of them… or that the piece I’ve just bought is any different to the other twenty or so in my wardrobe. Stripes look stylish when simply teamed with a denim jean – you can’t go wrong.

It’s that time of year when the shops fill with tempting new things and it’s a signal that spring is on its way. Whilst we are not quite ready to put our cosy knits and thermals away just yet, it’s definitely time to start brightening up our wardrobes with a few pieces that will see us through the next few months and beyond.

If, like me, you obsess about all things stripey I’ve found a few of the newest stripe tops that will work wonders to refresh your wardrobe at this time of the year. For me, this year is about colour, especially GREEN – it’s THE colour of the year and what better way to embrace it than with stripes. Of course, the classic navy and white option will always be a favourite but injecting colour into your wardrobe this season is key.

Sleeve and cuff details remain on trend with colourblocking and stripe variation also, so there is lots more choice for those stripe fanatics amongst us!

I’ve already welcomed a new top to my ever increasing Breton collection. Boden offer some of the best colour options in their Breton range, and although they might not be the cheapest around you can’t beat them on quality and fit.
